ABOUT LCOY QATAR

​At LCOY Qatar, young people connect with each other, teach, learn, and organize themselves to make their voices heard.

LCOY QATAR OBJECTIVES

Provide a platform for youths in Qatar to share and inspire climate education, innovation, and climate solutions.

Ensure youth engagement countrywide to create a movement for climate action.

Gather inputs from youths in Qatar, climate advocates, young policymakers, and researchers which will be submitted as the final Declaration of the youth to YOUNGO.

Lay the foundations for a regional youth climate movement that can leverage Arab youth's collective action on climate change.

Build the capacity of the Qatar youth in climate action to develop innovative and effective climate solutions.

ABOUT LCOY

LCOY is an event under the umbrella of YOUNGO, the official youth constituency of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).

THEME FOR LCOY QATAR

At LCOY Qatar 2023, the youth will examine and highlight the solutions and systemic changes that are needed to properly address climate change and ensure we are in reaching the Paris Agreement commitments for a green and environmentally sustainable future for all.
